PURPOSE:To obtain the degree of freedom as to the position of a light source and to utilize light energy efficiently by causing luminous flux from a light source to strike a directional reflecting plate which reflects it in a specific direction, and arranging a body and an image pickup device in the principal-axis direction of the reflected light. CONSTITUTION:The luminous flux from the light source 8 is incident to the directional reflecting plate 9 which has reflection characteristics 10, and the object 14 to be image picked up and a television camera 15 are arranged on a straight line in the principal-axis direction of the reflecting light 11 having high light energy density. The reflected light from the reflecting plate 9 is projected on the body 14; and its shadow image is dark as the shadow of the body 14 and the background of the body is light because of reflection 12 and 13. When the body 14 is fixed, the position of the camera is also fixed clearly and the position of the light source 8 is set by confirming the shadow image of the body 14 on a monitor television 17 so that the reflected light is projected in the direction connecting the body 14 and camera 15 together. A picture signal 16 is transferred to a picture processor 18 and processed. |
