PURPOSE:To immediately inform a state of deterioration of a laser to a user side by executing a service life warning of the laser by controlling a display element. CONSTITUTION:Not only a light quantity control means but also a detecting means are constituted of a microcomputer 52, and a display element 55 for warning a service life of a laser is provided on an operating/display part. In this state, a current corresponding to a laser light quantity is detected by a photosensor 41, and it is converted to a voltage signal by a current/voltage converter 42, converted to a digital signal by an A/D converter 51, and thereafter, supplied to the microcomputer 52, and by a value of the digital signal, a current controlling output signal outputted to a D/A converter 47 is decided and determined. Accordingly, a circuit system containing this microcomputer 52 not only has a function for controlling a digital value given to the D/A converter 47, so that an output of the A/D converter 51 becomes constant, but also has a function for warning a service life due to deterioration of a laser.
