<p>PURPOSE:To realize high speed and high picture quality, and also, to miniaturize the titled writing head, and to obtain it at a low cost by constituting it so that a light beam from a light source means, which is totally reflected by a contact part of an air bubble and a plane of a light transmissive member is made incident on the surface of a photosensitive body, while the air bubble generated in the vicinity of the surface of a heating unit element which is selected in accordance with an electrical input signal comes into contact with said plane. CONSTITUTION:An air bubble is generated by allowing thermal energy to function on a liquid 109. Due to a remarkable variation of a refractive index, a critical angle of a total reflection becomes smaller than an incident angle, and as a result, an incident light 119 is brought to a total reflection in a state that a loss scarcely exists in the interface of a light transmissive member 106 and vapor 122. This totally reflected light is utilized as an optical signal for recording. In such a way, comparing with an optical writing head which is used an optical shutter array, the utilization efficiency of light is improved remarkably, and a small light source capacity will suffice. Also, the generation and annihiration of the air bubble by a heat pulse can be executed in a short time of a scores of microsecond unit, therefore, optical write can be executed at high speed.</p> |
