PURPOSE:To replace, mount and detach a type wheel by a simple operation such that a cassette is mounted on a predetermined cassette holder, by holding the petal-shaped type wheel to the cassette in a freely rotatable manner. CONSTITUTION:A petal-shaped type wheel 2 is received in a box-shaped cassette 1 and has a center plate 5 provided with a large number of fingers 4 having types 5 in a radial form and a boss part 6 is provided to the center plate 5. An open part 7 is formed to the cassette 1 so as to expose the selected type of the type wheel 2 at a position where the type is struck by a type hammer. A support hole 1a is formed to the cassette 1 and the boss part 6 of the type wheel 2 is loosely engaged with said hole 1a. The shaft 8 of a type selection motor is inserted in the boss part 6 and the leading end part of the shaft 8 is formed as a taper part 9 and, even when the up-and-down position of the type wheel 2 is slightly shifted, the shaft 8 can be smoothly inserted in the boss part 6. |
