PURPOSE:To obtain a picture with prescribed density by arranging a magnet holding member which incorporates a magnet roll in a nonmagnetic sleeve arranged in a developing container, making the magnet roll and sleeve eccentric, and replacing the developer on the sleeve surface. CONSTITUTION:The nonmagnetic sleeve 7 is arranged in the developing container 4, the magnet holding member 12 is arranged in this sleeve 7, and the magnet roll 23 is arranged rotatably in the magnet holding member 12. The axial center of the magnet roll 23 is made eccentric with that of the sleeve 7. Consequently, the part where magnetic force is weak is formed on the surface of the sleeve 7 and a scraper is provided thereto to scrape easily the developer sticking to the surface of the sleeve 7 after development. Therefore, a fresh developer containing sufficiently mixed toner is stuck newly to the part where the developer after development is removed from the surface of the sleeve 7. Further, the part where the magnetic force is weak is utilized, so the power for scraping off the developer may be small. Furthermore, there is no developer which rotates while sticking to the sleeve surface as usual, so the picture with the prescribed density is obtained. |
