PURPOSE:To obtain a printed material inspecting device, which can be provided in line in a small occupying space in a printing machine; and wherein a region to be inspected in the direction of the width of the printed material for each color is uniformly lighted, and the reflected light is received by a close contact type array sensor provided with color filters. CONSTITUTION:The light beams from rod shaped white light sources 212a and 212b in a G color inspecting part 202 are reflected by mirrors 252a and 252b, respectively, and the unnecessary parts of the beams are shielded by slits 222a and 222b. The region to be inspected in the direction of the width of printed paper 2 under transfer is uniformly lighted. The reflected light from the recording paper 2 is received by a close contact type array sensor 232 provided with a G color filter 242, and the region to be inspected is scanned and inspected. The same procedure is applied to an R color and a B color. A printed material inspecting device can be provided in line in a small space in a printing machine owing to a compact and simple structure. Therefore, the highly accurate inpsection of the colored printed material can be performed at a high speed. |
