PURPOSE:To prevent plural areas from being defined with duplication and to shorten an area residual quantity calculating time by defining and storing the leading position information and the final position information of the respective areas as respective area defining information. CONSTITUTION:An IC card 11 for defining the area is set to a card reader/ writer 12, an area number, the leading address of the area and the final address of the area are sequentially inputted as the area defining information from a keyboard 13 and temporarily stored in a floppy disk device 15 under the control of a control part 17. Then, the area defining information in the floppy disk 15 is sequentially fed to the IC card 11 for every area and in the IC card 11, the area defining information is written in the directory area of a data memory. Thereby, the plural areas are prevented from being defined with the duplication and the calculating time can be shortened at the time of calculating the area residual quantity. |
