<p>Fire sprinkler head suitable for mounting in a concealed location in the ceiling in a residential dwelling which provides quick and automatic response in the event of a fire. The valve assembly in the sprinkler head is biased to the open mode and is maintained in the closed mode against a positive force tending to move the valve assembly to the open mode by a valve closure means which is separable into its two sections at the onset of a fire and the attainment of a predetermined ambient temperature surrounding the valve closure means. The two sections of the valve closure means are maintained intact as a unit until the temperature of the fire melts a heat fusible alloy composition.</p> |
