PURPOSE:To permit formation of a high-quality image without having nonuniformity and without wrinkling a photosensitive material by press rollers at the time of pressurization by nipping and conveying the photosensitive material in such a manner that the deviation in the distribution of the pressurizing force along the longitudinal direction of the press rollers is kept within 30%, thereby forming the image thereon. CONSTITUTION:The deviation in the distribution of the pressurizing force in the longitudinal direction of the press rollers 74, 80 is set within 30% in the case of nipping and pressurizing the photosensitive material on which the image is recorded within the range of the prescribed deviation in the distribution of the pressurizing force by means of a pair of the press rollers and fixing and visualizing the image, thereby obtaining the high-quality image. Generation of wrinkles in the photosensitive material A and the image receiving paper C is thereby adequately prevented. The complete prevention of wrinkling is possible if the deviation in the distribution of the pressurizing force is within 20%. The uneven density of the image occurring in the wrinkling is greatly decreased or its entirely obviated, by which the image having good quality is formed.
