PURPOSE:To obtain a book form printed matter having multiple leaves not printed with needless lines due to adhesion of an ink generated between printing plates, by a method wherein a blanket or form cylinder is made ink-nonreceptive at the time of applying dampening water, at a position corresponding to adjacent side end parts of planographic plates. CONSTITUTION:The back side of a thin film 2 is adhered to a flexible support base 1 and a planographic plate P2. A blanket or form cylinder is made ink- nonreceptive at the time or applying dampening water, at a position corresponding to an ink adhesion area at side end parts of the planographic plates. Namely, an ink-nonreceptive part having a width slightly greater than the width of the gap between a trailing end part of a planographic plate P1 and an edge pat of the film 2 is provided at a corresponding part on the blanket or form cylinder. A most preferable method of providing the ink-nonreceptive part comprises adhering a hydrophilic film with a surface subjected to hydrolysis to the blanket or form cylinder. By this, printing of needless lines due to adhesion of an ink is obviated, and a book form matter having multiple leaves can be printed.
