PURPOSE:To facilitate the confirmation of transmission/reception and charge by sending a data with a bar code pattern attached, reading the bar code pat tern sent by a bar code reader at print and connecting a memory registering various codes to a controller. CONSTITUTION:A memory 6 registered with a sender and a destination code in advance at least is connected to the controller 1 and a title or the like of simple communication content is registered in the memory 6. Then the bar code reader 7 is arranged at a position biased to one end near a thermal head 8 provided to the printer 4 and the bar code pattern 9 provided at one corner of sent paper at the sender side is read by the bar code reader 7 at the print. Then the title name or the like representing the content and the sender code are represented on the bar code pattern 9. Thus, the receiver side reads the bar code pattern 9 to recognize the content of communication by the device itself.
