Thus the deviated voltage is delivered from a piezoelectric element driving circuit 34, And trigger signals are delivered from diodes D36 and D37, respectively. The trigger signal of D37 has a long period and a low DC potential, and accordingly no trigger signal is delivered from an integral circuit 38. As a result, only the trigger signal of D36 is supplied to an FF circuit 39, and thus the switch signal supplied from the circuit 39 changes from 0 to 1 to transport the tape 19 at a high speed. When the tape 19 recorded at a low speed is reproduced when the tape 19 is transported at a high speed, the trigger signal is delivered from the circuit 38.
