PURPOSE:To prevent the disturbance of water around a dredging place by a method in which a suction tube to be connected to a negative pressure sucker and a horizontal baffle plate are attached to a frame. CONSTITUTION:A dredger consists of a frame 1, a suction tube 2, a suction port 2a, a connecting tube 3, a baffle plate 4, and a sleigh 5. When the frame 1 supported by the sleigh 5 is settled down on the bottom of marsh or sea where sludge deposits, the baffle plate 4 is slightly placed on the boundary between deposit sludge and water. Under the condition, the whole of the device is advanced to the direction of the port 2a and a negative pressure sucker is operated to suck up sludge below the plate 4 from the suction port 2a of the tube 2. The dredging operation can thus be effectively performed.
