PURPOSE:To improve the convenience for use of the apparatus by supplying power to a heating chamber illuminating lamp in accordance with the detection result of door opening and closing detection means and the output of a weight sensor, in an microwave over. CONSTITUTION:The operating and closing of a door are detected by ON or OFF of door opening or closing detecting means and the output of a weight sensor, are inputting to a control part 20. Further, the weight of a food is detected by a weight sensor 4 and is inputted to the control part 20. If the door is opened, a lamp 9 is lit regardless of existence or nonexistence of the weight detection by a weight sensor 4. Furthermore, even if the door is closed, when the weight sensor 4 is detecting the weight of a food, the lamp 9 is lit. That is, in these states, the control part 20 actuates a relay 22 to form a circuit for power supply to the lamp 9. By this constitution, the convenience for use of the apparatus can be improved.
