PURPOSE:To make it possible to eliminate the necessity of a drive source exclusively used for a sheet reversing device by providing a transmission gear associated with a reversing roller, so that the gear may swing and is urged toward the body by means of a spring. CONSTITUTION:When a reversing section casing 33 is attached to a body 12, a transmission gear 43 on the reversing section casing 33 side is meshed with a gear 32 on the body 12 side, and sheet discharge rollers 24, 25 are rotated so that reversing rollers 39, 40 are also rotated. The transmission gear 43 may swing and is urged toward the body 12 by means of a spring, and therefore, when the reversing casing 33 is attached to the body 12, the position of the transmission gear 43 is automatically corrected so as to mesh with the gear 32 on the body 12 side, appropriately.
