PURPOSE:To make it possible to carry out washing of circulating circuit in a short time, by setting solution feed pumps in a circulating circuit of culture solution, a device to decompress a culture tank, a device to discharge the culture solution from the tank and a device to selectively connecting a washing solution bottle to the tank. CONSTITUTION:In a hollow fiber cartridge 14, a culture solution is circulated inside a hollow fiber, the culture solution is set also outside the fiber and biological cells are multiplied outside the fiber while mutually transferring the culture solutions inside and outside the fiber through the fiber. Then a washing device for a culture substance circulating circuit is equipped with solution feed pumps P1 and P2 in the culture solution circulating circuit, a device 2 to decompress a gas phase part 111 in a culture solution tank 11 in the circuit, a device 3 to discharge the culture solution from the tank 11, a washing solution feeding device 4 equipped with one or more washing solution bottles 41-44 and selectively connecting a given bottle to the tank 11. Consequently the circulating circuit can be washed in a short time.
