PURPOSE:To easily classify and take out a various kinds of reception data and reports, by arranging a sorter equipped with plural trays and a switching means which guides a sheet of recording paper to each tray at an ejection path, and controlling the above sorter corresponding to a content of recording. CONSTITUTION:When a control part 12 records a various kinds of reports (for example, a communication managing report, an acceptance report, a power failure report, etc.) with respect to a facsimile equipment by driving a recording circuit 11, a switching lug 8B is rotated to an ejected recording paper receiving position corresponding to a stack 1 by controlling a sorter driving part 8C. At the time of reception, the control part 12 records a reception data corresponding to a bit of reception information by controlling the recording circuit 11. In parallel with the above recording, the control part 12 recognizes the destination of the reception data, and switches the switching lug 8B so that the reception data with the same destination can be ejected in the tray 8A by controlling the sorter driving part 8C of the sorter 8. In such a way, it is possible to eject the reception data to the tray 8A corresponding to a classified destination automatically.
