PURPOSE:To provide the titled such yarn having silky gloss, dry surface touch, etc. imparted with near-silky feeling as to have a plural of protrusions in the monofilament section and to provide ridged grooves of specified size continuously on the periphery of said monofilament. CONSTITUTION:The objective polyester yarn consisting of polyester containing >=85mol.% of ethylene terephthalate unit, having 2-6 protrusions 2a-2e in the cross section of the monofilament, and also provided, continuously in the longer direction on the periphery of said monofilament, with ridged grooves 3a-3e of a depth L 0.1-1.0mu and width W 0.5-3.5mu. |
