PURPOSE:To certainly judge a running route, by changing the passage judge value of a route judge area corresponding to the state of the route up to the adjacent branch point. CONSTITUTION:A route judge area setting means E sets the judge area at each branch point and an area judge means F judges that a vehicle enters a judge area on the basis of the present position of the vehicle on a map and the distance of the vehicle from the coordinates of the branch point and judges that the vehicle passes the judge area on the basis of the running distance of the vehicle thereafter. The area setting means E changes the passage judge value of the area to be optimum value corresponding to the route up to the adjacent branch point on the basis of the map data relating to the state of the route up to the adjacent branch point stored in a memory means D. An angle detection means A enlarges the judge area corresponding to a detected angle of a predetermined value or more. Therefore, the generation of the trouble in the route judgement at the next branch point is eliminated and the route can be certainly judged. |
