PURPOSE:To make the stream of machining liquid satisfactory to prevent electrocorrosion by providing vacuum covers on both sides of a machining gap through which a wire electrode pierces, so as to surround injection nozzles such that the inside of the vacuum covers and the machining gap between workpieces is under vacuum. CONSTITUTION:A wire electrode 1 is stretched between a pair of spaced guides 5, 5', and is fed in the axial direction thereof for renewal. Workpieces 2 are opposed to each other with a fine machining gap therebetween through which machining liquid is fed from injection nozzles 3, 3' coaxial with the wire electrode 1 while a pulse voltage is applied from energizing pins 12, 12' between the workpieces and the electrode which is then relatively fed. The machining liquid is fed into the machining liquid suction ports 4, 4' of the injection nozzles 3, 3' from a machining liquid tank 8 through a discharge pump 9, and due to the provision of a valve 13 the quantity of the machining liquid fed into the nozzles 3, 3' may be regulated. Further, vacuum covers 6, 6' are provided and machining liquid is sucked together with air from the vacuum covers 6, 6' by means of a suction pump 10 coupled to suction ports 7, 7', and is returned into the machining liquid tank 8.
