PURPOSE:To provide a powder coating which gives a coating film having excellent nonvolatility, flexibility, gloss, etc., by mixing a spiro orthoester compd. with a carboxylic acid type polyester resin or an acrylic resin and a compd. having a hindered amino or amide group in a specified weight ratio. CONSTITUTION:A spiro orthoester compd. (A) having a spiro orthoester group of the formula (wherein n is 3-5) and a number-average MW of 300-30,000 (e.g., a reaction product of a lactone with bisphenol A) is mixed with a carboxylic acid type polyester resin and/or a carboxylic acid type acrylic resin (B) and a compd. (C) having a hindered amino or amide group [e.g., bis(2,2,6,6- tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)sebacate] in a weight ratio of (A+B) to C of 100:0.01-10 on a solid basis to obtain the desired powder coating.
