PURPOSE:To attain a long-term stability and to prevent the deposition of ash, by blending a polyether compd. comprising a particular polyethylenepolyamine and, added thereto, an alkylene oxide with a particular polyamine. CONSTITUTION:The title additive comprises a polyether compd. (A) having an MW of 1,000-200,000 and prepd. by adding an alkylene oxide to a starting material composed of polyethylenepolyamine having two or more nitrogen atoms, and a polyamine of the formula (wherein R1 and R3 are each 1-30C alkyl, acyl, or H; R2 is 2-6C alkylene; and n is 1-20). The blending ratio of the aforesaid polyether (A) to polyamine (B) is generally 95/5-5/95. Examples of the polyamine of the formula include ethylenediamine, triethylenetetramine, and beef tallow dipropylenetriamine.
