X-ray protection screen consists of a thermoplastics material (I) contg. an X-ray impermeable filler (II), which consists of a cpd. of an element of atomicmassgreater than 200, in which this element comprises at least 80 wt.% of the total mass of (II). Pref. (II) is PbS, PbO2 or Pb3O4; or a Bi cpd., pref. Bi2S3 or BiS2. The material contains at least 15 wt.% Pb. ADVANTAGE - The thickness of the plastics is compatible with the requirement for injection moulding.
