A container for the evapn. of a liq. has an inlet for the liq., an outlet on top for the vapour and an outlet at the bottom for the not evaporated liq. Many vertical bars have blind holes in the sides which are filled with vapour and act as seeds for additional bubbles. A container with a bottom, side walls, and a cover represents one stage of a multistage evaporator plant. The liq. enters through inlet and the non-evaporated liq. leaves through an outlet. The vapours escape through a demister with an outlet on top. USE/ADVANTAGE - This ensures min. prodn. of gas bubbles even without any continuous supply of sea water, for evapn. in the chemical industry.
