[Also in Division B3] In a press brake or other hydraulic press having two hydraulic cylinders (3) each acting on one end of a ram 2, wherein the ram stroke is limited by two limit switches 10 mounted one at each end of the ram 2, the limit switches and their adjustment means are supported by the bed 1 of the press completely independently of the end housings 4 of the press. The vertical position of the switches 10 is adjustable by means of screws 14 mounted in brackets 6, 7 and rotatable through a shaft 16 and gearing 20 by a hand wheel 17. The gearings 20 at each end of the bed 1 are connected by a shaft (18), Fig. 1 (not shown). Screw abutments 22 carried by brackets 23 on the ram 2 are capable of coarse and fine adjustment. Further limit switches 10<SP>1</SP> may reduce the ram speed during its final stage of movement. |
