PURPOSE:To display an image with a few amount of flickering in a vertical direction and with high picture quality, by providing a correction signal generating means and a signal synthesizing means which synthesizes and outputs a correction signal on an output video signal, and bearing the horizontal scanning line of the output video signal outputted from the signal synthesizing means by the correction signal. CONSTITUTION:The video signal of one field arrives at an input terminal 12 repeatedly. The video signal of the input terminal 12 is inputted to the input 24 of a demodulator 16 as it is in one field period. And it is demodulated at the demodulator 16, and is outputted to the input 18 of a synthesis circuit 38. The synthesis circuit 38 clamps the blanking level of the video signal of the input 18 to a clamp level L1 appropriately, and outputs it to an output 40. At the next field period, the video signal of false field being delayed by 0.5H than the signal of the input 12 is generated, and is outputted from the output 40 of a device. Thus, since the false field is generated by delaying the video signal leaving FM-modulated, it is possible to obtain the image with a few amount of flickering in the vertical direction and with high picture quality.
