摘要 PURPOSE:To improve electrical insulation and resistance to cold temperatures of -40 deg.C or less in a cathode-ray tube by using a silicon range, whose main ingredient is a disilanol condensed polymer, as a coating liquid for an anode button. CONSTITUTION:In a cathode-ray tube having a silicon coated film on the peripheral part of an anode button, a substance used in the coated film is the one whose main ingredient is a disilanol condensed polymer shown in an formula (R1, R2SiO2/2)n (where, R1 and R2 indicate alkyl groups such as metyl group and phenyl group, and 2/2 indicates a state where two oxygen atoms are shared between adjacent monomer molecules). In order to improve electrical insulation, free OH groups needs to be decreased, that is, a polymerization degree needs to be upgraded. On the other hand, cold resistance depends on molecular structure of a condensed polymer. In the case of using a trisilanol condensed polymer, because its molecules are of net structure causing formation of a hard coated film, the film is subject to be cracked at a low temperature. In the case of using the disilanol condensed polymer, on the other hand, because its molecules are of direct chained structure enough to form a comparatively soft film, low- temperature characteristics can be extremely improved.
