PURPOSE:To prevent a correct password from being stolen by many retries of wrong passwords, by recording the number of transmitted erroneous passwords in each terminal machine and inhibiting the use of the terminal machine if this number reaches a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A calling terminal discrimination information recognizing circuit 13 of an information processor 1 receives a processing request from a terminal machine 3a. Password analysis result storage information having the same information as terminal discrimination information given to this processing request is read out from a storage circuit 12 through a line mr1. The number of erroneous passwords inputted from the terminal 3a in the past is checked, and the processing request is rejected if this number exceeds a prescribed value. If the number is smaller than the prescribed value, the processing request from the terminal 3a is transferred to a password analyzing circuit 14 through a line pw1. The circuit 14 requests a password input to the terminal 3a and analyzes the received password and writes it in the storage circuit 12 through a line mw1. If the analysis result indicates that the password is wrong, the processing request from the terminal 3a is rejected. |
