PURPOSE:To make the surface of a coating film flat and to make the thickness uniform by semi-curing the surface after a sound absorbing member coating film is formed, placing a piezoelectric substrate onto a base whose surface is processed flat while its coating film is in contact therewith, pressing the member by the weight and curing the coating film again. CONSTITUTION:The element rear face sound absorbing member coating film 10 is formed similarly to the rear face of the piezoelectric substrate 4 similarly as a conventional method, the substrate 4 is placed on the aluminum tray while its rear side is directed upward, and the surface of the coating film 10 is semi- cured in an oven at a temperature of 80 deg.C. The substrate 4 is placed onto a base whose surface is processed flat while the coating film 10 is in contact, they are left for 15-30 minutes, pressing is applied by the weight of the base 4 to make the surface of the coating film 10 flat and uniform in the film thickness. Then the substrate 4 is placed on the aluminum tray while the coating film 10 is directed upward, baking is applied again at a temperature of 150-180 deg.C to cure completely the coating film 10.
