PURPOSE:To improve the processing time of a computer part by providing a monitor information generating program in a main program of the computer part and providing a program monitor part which is freely attached to and detached from the computer part. CONSTITUTION:The main program of the computer part CPU 9 is divided into plural modules, and I/O ports 91-93 are assigned to respective modules. When monitor data is inputted from the CPU 9 to a program monitor part 10 through the port 92, a connector 94, and an interface 101, the CPU 102 reads out a program for conversion to a designated format from ROM 103. Input data is converted to the designated format by using a RAM 104 and is displayed on a CRT through the interface 101, an ACIA 95, and a level converter 96, and it is confirmed that a specific module of the main program is operated. Since format conversion of monitor information is performed in the monitor part 10 in this manner, the load of the CPU 9 is reduced and the processing time of the CPU 9 is improved.
