PURPOSE:To achieve a higher electrical and mechanical durability, by connecting a lead direct to a contact member being supported on an elastic force-energized member. CONSTITUTION:When a terminal 3 as object 1 to be connected is pressed in contact with a contact face 6a of a contact member 6, the member 6 slides over a base 4. As the member 6 is supported with an elastic force-energized member 10, the member 10 is deformed in compression to apply an elastic force to the member 6. With the action of the elastically energized force, the member 6 is kept in mechanical contact with the terminal 3 maintaining a proper contact pressure to achieve an electric connection in the optimum condition. On the other hand, as a lead 11 is fastened on the member 6 to achieve an electric connection integral between both the components, which maintains electric resistance perpetually at a fixed level. This enables a contact pressure to be maintained properly between the member 6 and the object 1 to be touched without a coil spring to eliminate a mechanical contact surface point between the member 6 and the lead 11 thereby achieving a higher durability as connector.
