PURPOSE:To reduce the number of machine tools so as to shorten the time of machining by using only one skiving device to perform a skiving process for the journal of a crank shaft and a broach cutting process for the pin reference surface of a balance weight, continuously. CONSTITUTION:When a cutting feed motor 10 is driven, a slide bed is moved up and down along a slide guide part 6, and therefore a broach 11 is driven in the direction of the slide guide part. At first a tool bed is set so that broaches 11a, 11b are located at predetermined cutting positions, respectively, with respect to a workpiece (crankshaft) which is then mounted on a spindle bed 2 so as to be rotated. Further, when cutting unit 7 is fed downward, the journal of the crankshaft is subjected to a skiving process by means of the broach 11a. Then, a spindle is indexed and stopped at a predetermined position, and a fastening device 4 is fastened. Again, the cutting unit 7 is fed so that the broach 11b cuts the pin reference surface of a balance weight.
