PURPOSE:To surely execute a head touch by separating and arranging the upper head which has positioned the head front apex in the vicinity of the upper end of a core of a recording gap part of its head, and the lower head which has positioned said apex in the vicinity of the lower end in the vertical direction, and projecting and providing one set or more on the outside peripheral surface of a guide drum. CONSTITUTION:The upper head 3 which has positioned the head front apex in the vicinity of the upper end of a core 9 of a recording gap part of its head, and the lower head 2 which has positioned said apex in the vicinity of the lower end are separated and arranged in the vertical direction, and one set or more are projected and provided on the outside peripheral surface of a guide drum 1. As for abutting on the lower head 2 and the lower end part of a tape 8, which becomes a problem in the entry, since the front of the head 2 becomes an upward inclination, even if the lower end part floats, abutting on the core part 9 can be executed surely. In the same way, with regard to abutting on the upper head 3 of the upper end part of the tape 8, which becomes a problem at the exit side, as well, since the front of the head 3 becomes a downward inclination, even if the upper end of the tape 8 floats, abutting on the core part 9 can be executed surely.
