PURPOSE:To produce the title resin excellent in chemical resistance and heat resistance, by heat-treating a polyol containing a specified modified silicone oil and an organic polyisocyanate in the presence of a trimerization catalyst at a specified NCO index and a specified temperature. CONSTITUTION:In the reaction of an organic polyisocyanate with a polyol in the presence of a trimerization catalyst (preferably, a combination of a metal carboxylate with a tert. amine), a modified silicone oil containing active hydrogen groups is used as at least part of said polyol, e.g., silanol-terminated polysiloxane of the formula (wherein n is 1-250 and Me is methyl), and the heat treatment is conducted under conditions of an NCO index >=500 and 60-300 deg.C. As said polyisocyanate, a conventional one such as 4,4'- diphenylmethane diisocyanate can be used. A polyisocyanurate resin excellent in chemical resistance and heat resistance and excellent also in moldability, nonmountability and sliding property can be obtained. By virtue of the above properties, it can be used, for example, in resin molds, magnetic plastics, roll sliding parts, coating agents, etc.
