PURPOSE:To make it possible to simply and efficiently cut an object to be out under handy remote-control by using a rotary cutting blade and a clamp lever in a device for cutting an electrode or the like in an electrostatic precipitator for boiler exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:A cutting part 101 having a rotary cutting blade and a clamp lever is attached to the forward end of a telescopic pole 102 which is expandably supported to a relay pole 104 through the intermediary of a fastening ring 103 that is expandably held by a support pole 106 through the intermediary of a joint fixture 105. The support pole 106 is provided thereto with an overload indicating lamp and is also attached thereto with a substrate casing 108 for preventing overload of a drive motor 109 in the cutting part 101 and for checking the voltage of a battery, and a battery part 109, a wire connecting a power source with the motor and a manipulating lever 111 connected to a wire cable 110 incorporating a control wire.
