PURPOSE:To improve the reliability while precluding the possibility of damaging relay contact and to attain multi-branch by connecting feeders from land stations A and B directly, connecting a feeder from a land station C to earth via a relay connected with a diode in parallel and providing the relay contact between a connecting point connected directly and the earth. CONSTITUTION:Power is supplied at first from a feeder 8 of the land station C. In this case, a relay 6 is not activated by the effect of a diode 5, a contact 7 is opened to apply one end feeding from the land station C. Then both ends feeding is applied between the land stations A and B. If a feeder 3 is interrupted, the feeder 8 switches the line to apply positive feeding to activate the relay 6 and to close the contact 7, and one end feeding is applied between the land stations A, C and the earth. Since the contact 7 is always at an earth potential, no arc discharge or the like i caused. The feeder 8 of the land station C is switched for its feeding direction and a repeater 9 between the land station C and a submarine branching device 1 is acted by two-way feeding. In case of the multi-branch, plural number of submarine branching devices 1 capable of making 3-branch are inserted between the feeders 2, 3 between the land stations A and B.
