PURPOSE:To make difficult the transmission of noises in a compartment to ears of passengers by interposing a directional sound insulating material for reflecting or transmitting sounds in the compartment in a predetermined direction between a car body panel and the trimmings attached thereto. CONSTITUTION:An air layer 13 is formed of a roof panel 2 of a vehicle and the trimmings made of a compressed felt 10, foaming material 11 and cloth 12, and provided with a first directional sound insulating material 14... which is formed of a non-permeable material such as vinyl chloride sheet for example and disposed inclined in a predetermined direction to be reversed V-shaped as a whole so that sounds radiated or transmitted from the roof panel 2 are not directed to ears of passengers 9. Also, vibration-proof materials 16 are laminated on the inside surface of floor panel 3 of vehicle 1, and a sound absorbing material 18 and a second directional sound insulating material 19 are interposed between the vibration-proof material 16 and a cut pile 17.
