PURPOSE:To easily and securely measure the position of an unmanned vehicle by detecting light from a light emission device provided to ground facilities by respective light reception switching elements of a light receiver. CONSTITUTION:The light emission device 3 is provided to the ground facilities 1 and emits light. The vehicle 2 is provided with the light receiver 4 at a position facing the light emission device 3 and this is constituted by providing plural light reception switching elements E1-En successively at intervals (a). Those turn on when receiving the light from the light emission device 3. Here, the light emission device 3 and light receiver are put in a pair and two pairs of light emission devices 3 and light receivers 4 are arranged in mutual crossing directions. Consequently, some of the elements E1-En of the pairs provided to the vehicle 2 detect the light from the light emission devices 3 for the vehicle 2 which travels along a predetermined traveling course and the position of the vehicle in the traveling is measured from the positions of the light emission devices 3 and the position of the element in the pair detecting the light.
