PURPOSE:To provide a brake device of long service life independently of frictional resistance and attains good and reliable braking characteristic by connecting high and low pressure portions produced on both sides of a vane by rotation of an eccentric rolling piston in a cylinder connected to a braking shaft by a communicating pipe having a valve therein. CONSTITUTION:An eccentric rolling piston 2 connected to a braking shaft 1 is accommodated in a cylinder 3, and a vane 4 fitted in a groove of the cylinder 3 is pressed to the rolling piston 2 by a spring. The high pressure side and the low pressure side produced on both sides of the vane 4 by the rotation of the rolling piston 2 are connected to each other through a communicating pipe having a valve 5 in the midway. Thus it is independent of frictional resistance force, so that abrasion of parts is little, the device is of long-life, and a reliable and good braking characteristic can be obtained.
