PURPOSE:To omit unnecessary reproducing of a silent part and to improve the maneuverability of a system by recording a time signal expressing the reproducing time of a practically effective part of information recorded in a block. CONSTITUTION:When an input means 1 is operated and a reproducing command is inputted, information recorded in an optical disk is reproduced. A reproduced directory signal is inputted and detected to/by a directory circuit 9. When a detected F code indicates a non-final block, a control circuit 2 allows a timer circuit 10 to execute timer operation and displays the executed result on a display means 11. In the final block, the passage of time expressed by a T code is inputted from the timer circuit 10. Since the control circuit 2 outputs a program end signal to the input means 1, the succeeding command can be inputted and executed.
