PURPOSE:To eliminate the time difference between a picture and a sound during reproduction by recording a video and an audio signal in respective divided recording areas of a recording track by recording and reproducing heads, and reproducing the video signal by said heads and the audio signal by heads dedicated to reproduction during the reproduction. CONSTITUTION:The video signal SV is supplied from a terminal 21 selectively to recording and reproducing heads 12A and 12B through a modulating circuit 23 and a signal selecting circuit 24. The audio signal Sa, on the other hand, is supplied from an input terminal 22 selectively to the heads 12A and 12B through an A/D converter 25, time-axis compressing circuit 26, and selecting circuit 28. Then, heads 13A and 13B dedicated to reproduction are provided at positions where they lead the heads 12A and 12B in rotary phase by 270 deg., so a reproduced audio signal SA is obtained from the leading heads 13A and 13B and the reproduced video signal SV is obtained from the trailing heads 12A and 12B. For this purpose, the audio signal is reproduced firstly during the reproduction and adjusted to the normal time axis to obtain the reproduced signal SA having no time difference. |
