PURPOSE:To eliminate vertical color irregularity on a screen that a user feels by varying the density of a display color stepwise in the vertical direction of a liquid crystal display panel. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal display panel 3 includes plural driving elements which are arranged in array and respectively constitute one picture element, and a liquid crystal driving circuit 2 functions to drive plural arrayed driving elements, at every row of the array. The sum voltage (d) of a constant voltage (b) outputted from a power source 6 and a voltage (c) outputted by a circuit 5 is applied to the circuit 2 and the levels of the outputs of the driving elements are controlled according to the level of the voltage to vary the density on the screen of the liquid crystal display panel 3 stepwise from the top to the bottom. Consequently, the user never feels color irregularity to be displayed vertically on the display panel.
