METHOD FOR PEELING EXTERNAL COATING OF OPTICAL FIBER TAPE

PURPOSE:To easily separate a necessary part of a single-core separate type optical fiber tape by adhering patch members on at least one surface of the optical fiber tape and peeling the patch members from the optical fiber tape. CONSTITUTION:The patch members 8A and 8B are adhered to surface parts where the external coating 4 of the single-core separate type optical fiber tape 1 and then peeled off the optical fiber tape 1. Thus, part of the external coating 4 of the optical fiber tape 1 is peeled forcibly off optical fiber core conductors 2 together with the patch members 8A and 8B, so the external coating 4 at the part of the optical fiber tape 1 to be exposed is easily peeled off to expose the optical fiber core conductors 2.
