PURPOSE:To reduce the bit width of a microprogram storage by connecting n units of pipe line registers having 1/n bit width to a microprogram storage having the same bit width. CONSTITUTION:The miroprogram storage 11 is obtained by dividing the bit field of a horizontal microinstruction into 1/n. Assuming that n=2, for instance, the microprogram storage 11 has storage l1, l2 each of which consists of 8 bits. The 1st memory data l1 and the 2nd memory data l2 are stored in the 1st and 2nd pipe line registers 13a, 13b, respectively. An apparatus 4 to be controlled is controlled by control signals stored in both the registers 13a, 13b. Signals from a test area and an NA (next area) in the 1st register 13a are returned to a sequencer 1 as sequencer controlling signals to control the succeeding instruction. The status of the apparatus 4 to be controlled is sent to the sequencer 1 as a test signal (h) to be used for the control of the microinstruction. |
