PURPOSE:To form a cam shaft capable of fixing a cam piece easily with correct angular relation on the outer peripheral face of the pipe stock composing the shaft part by deciding the projecting part position of the cam piece for the pipe stock by azimuth by using a rotary ring. CONSTITUTION:Cam pieces 15 in specific number are prearranged on a placing part 18 and transferred inside the plural rotary rings 2 provided on a center base simultaneously by the rod 19 for feeding. Each cam piece 15 is individually gripped with the projecting part 15A of the cam piece 15 as the reference by a gripping means inside the respective rotary ring 2. The individual rotary ring 2 is then sligned in a specific angular position by rotating it by the preset specified angle. Thereafter, a pipe stock 20 is penetrated into the hole 15B of the cam 15, the rotary ring 2 is moved to the bulging position shown by a broken line by an air cylinder 16 as well to press-fit a pressure fluid inside the pipe stock 20 and the cam 15 is fixed by press-contact to the outer peripheral face of the pipe stock 20. |
