PURPOSE:To remove the influence of crosstalk and to reproduce the other area by arranging heads so that when post recording is to be executed in one area of a track, its erasing and recording are not superposed to the reproducing of the other area to execute post recording. CONSTITUTION:Two FE heads 2, 2' are arranged on a rotary drum 1 as a reference point (RP). An R/Pb head 3 advancing from the RP by 45 deg. in the rotational direction, an R/Pa head 4 advancing by 90 deg., a PCMPBb head 5 and a PCMRECb head 6 advancing by 135 deg., and a PCMRECa head 7 advancing by 180 deg. are respectively arranged. The height of respective heads from a reference face X-X' is determined link spherical arrangement. At the time of video insertion into one area of the track or the PCM post recording of one area, the reproducing of the other area can be allowed so that the reproducing in the other area is not influenced by the post recording of one area.
