PURPOSE:To decrease the falling force of the second shoe, to simplify the structure and to improve the life and a braking effect by fixing the first elastic shoe connected to a crank and the second rigid shoe, and applying braking force from the crank to the first shoe. CONSTITUTION:The second rigid brake shoe 5 is fixed to one end of the first brake shoe 4 having elasticity, and a lining 6 is secured to the outside thereof. A drum 7 is disposed outside the lining. A projecting portion of the second brake shoe 5 is matched with a caulking shaft 8 of a cover 1 to lessen a difference l2 in position between the force acting from the lining 6 onto the drum 7 and reaction force of a contacting portion of the caulking shaft 8, and the brake shoe 4 and a crank 14 are fixed to each other by a shaft through a coupling lug 13. Accordingly a cam, a floating shaft and a return spring are not used to simplify the structure and improve productivity. Further the falling force of the second brake shoe is decreased to prevent biased abrasion of the lining and improve braking effect.
