PURPOSE:To shorten the time spent in changing the form of a spring by connecting a driving roller to a speed control motor with a clutch/brake and connecting a bending die and pitch tool to the actuator for adjustment via cam means as well. CONSTITUTION:The revolution of the motor 13 continuously revolving at specific number of revolutions is transmitted to a diving roller 2 by being ON/OFF by a clutch brake by the command from a controller. A wire rod 6 is then fed for the deflecting face 7a of a bending die 7 intermittently from a feeding roller couple 5 and wound in coils on a metal 9. At this time a pitch roll 10 is abutted on the wire rod 6 bent by the bending die 7 to give a specific pitch to spring, the triangular cam 17 linked to the actuator 16 for adjustment is moved in a specific direction to displace the position of the pitch tool 10. The pitch tool 10. the pitch, etc., of the spring to be formed are thus decided.
