PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device and to improve damping effect by shaping a supporting member into a hollow pipe in stead of a linear member. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 13 to be the supporting member is fixed on a bobbin at its one end and fixed on a base 14 at the other end to support an objective lens 11 to be displaced. Thereby, the outer diameter of the supporting member, i.e. the pipe 13, can be increased in order to obtain the same spring constant as that of an ordinary linear supporting member. Since the length of the pipe 13 can be shortened inversely proportional to the outer diameter, the device can be miniaturized. Since the outer diameter is increased, a contact area with a visco-elastic substance 16 is increased and the dumping effect can be improved. When the inside of the hollow pipe 13 is filled with the visco-elastic substance, a larger damping effect can be obtained.
