Stacked filter plates with continuous meander belt

A chamber filter press has a stack of filter plates vertically compressible by a hydraulic cylinder engaging a base support plate. A continuous filter belt passes in meander path between the plates and round rollers beyond the stack. At intermediate positions the lengths of belt are tensioned by rollers resting in recesses formed in the tops of cantilever arms affixed to the plate edges, and movable under belt tension into contact with main uprights which with the end plates form a rigid support structure. Slurry is supplied to individual plates and filtrate removed via collector conduits.
